OBTUSE TRILLIUM

Playing the Breath Flute
Obtuse Trillium is one of a several instruments in this collection that use multiple conjoined strings, most notably Trillium Cluster and Narrow Trillium. Obtuse Trillium has four multi-strings, each consisting of a single long string divided into two segments by a single much shorter string. You can pluck any of the three resulting segments and use a slide on any of them. Whichever segment you pluck, the vibration will be transmitted to the adjoining segments in a way that is colored by the presence or absence of resonances shared between the segments.
